Tia Teiniketo Named Third Team All-Conference USA

BIRMINGHAM – Graduating as one of the most decorated players in program history, senior Tia Teiniketo has added one final award to her resume after being named Third Team All-Conference USA by league officials on Wednesday.
"I have been blessed to have coached Tia the past three years and she is by far the best player to ever play at UAB," said head coach Ryan Ashburn. "She currently holds every record at UAB. Watching her transform her game and grow as a person has been amazing to be a part of and I can wait to see what she does in the future."
Teiniketo has been one of the top golfers to come through UAB, and was a staple at the top of the lineup for the last three years. Along with this Third Team All-Conference USA honor, last year she was recognized as the Conference USA Most Improved Golfer and earned Second Team All-Conference accolades.
Throughout her three years at UAB, Teiniketo won three individual tournament titles, had six top five finishes, 10 top 10 finishes and 11 top 20 finishes. In 2019-20, she carried a single season school record 72.9 stroke average.
She will graduate this week with a post baccalaureate bachelor's degree in marketing with a concentration in management.
