Blazers Set Personal-Bests on Day One of War Eagle Invite

AUBURN, Ala. – Four Blazers set personal-best marks on the first day of the War Eagle Invitational at Hutsell-Rosen Track.
In the long jump, freshman Kaylie Wright set her personal-best after her jump of 5.50-meters to place 10th in the event. Maegan Edwards had a 16th place finish with her mark of 4.86-meters, also a personal-best.
Lauren Robinson was the only Blazer to run in the 1500-meter. She crossed the line in 4:42.22, just edging out her previous best by half a second, to finish in fifth.
Freshman Gracie Sears set a personal-best by almost 20 seconds in the steeplechase after a seventh-place finish with a time of 11:48.69. Britney Johnson led the Blazers in the event with a fifth-place finish after crossing the line in 11:22.62.
The War Eagle Invitational continues Satrday, April 17, at 11 a.m. with the pole vault. Running events begin at noon with the 4x100-meter relay. Live results can be found by clicking here.
