BIRMINGHAM – The No. 20 UAB beach volleyball team suffered a 5-0 loss to No. 1 Florida State and a 4-1 defeat to No. 14 Stetson on the final day of the FAU Beach Bash in Boca Raton.

SalliAnne Napolitano and Arden Copping tallied UAB's lone win of the day with a 21-19, 21-14 victory on court four over Lauren Della and Brittany McLean of Stetson. For Napolitano, it was her team-high 10th individual victory of the season.

Against Florida State, UAB was defeated in straight sets on every court. The closest match came on court five as Ella Alexander and Adriana Pereira lost a closely contested 21-19, 24-22 contest to the Seminoles.

The Blazers are off next weekend before traveling to Hattiesburg in two weeks where they will face New Orleans, Tulane, ULM and Spring Hill at the Southern Miss Tournament.
