TROY, Ala. — The UAB baseball team fell to Troy by a tally of 10-3 on Tuesday night at Riddle-Pace Field.

Freshman Jake Killingsworth led the way at the plate for UAB (2-2, 0-0 CUSA), registering two hits in his first collegiate start. J Paul Fullerton, John Marc Mullins and Pate Fullerton picked up RBIs for the Blazers.

UAB opened up the scoring with a run in the first off of two error by Troy (4-1, 0-0 SBC). Jess Davis led off the inning reaching on an error and advancing to second on the throw. Colton Schultz then reached on an error to advance Davis to third. J Paul Fullerton scored Davis on a sacrifice fly to left for the 1-0 Blazer lead.

The Trojans would answer back in the bottom of the second with William Sullivan homering to left to tie the game at one.

After a scoreless third, the Blazers added another run off a single to left field from Pate Fullerton with two outs. Troy added their second run of the game in the bottom of the fifth.

With Chandler Simpson on at third in the sixth, Mullins drove in the run for the 3-2 UAB lead. The Trojans had back-to-back four run innings to take the lead, 10-3.

There was no movement on the scoreboard from either side in the final two innings as Troy closed out the game, 10-3.
