BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team is in eighth place after the opening 18 holes of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate hosted by ETSU and the Blackthorn Club.
The Blazers shot three under collectively as a team and are only eight shots off the lead entering Monday's second round.
Alfie Fox and Khavish Varadan paced the Blazers by both shooting a two under 70 and are tied for 15th overall.
Nick Robillard is tied for 37th after an even par 72, while Ethan Hagood was one shot behind Robillard with a one over 73 and is tied for 53rd.
ETSU and Louisville are tied at the top of the leaderboard at -11, while eight players are tied for the individual lead at -4.
