BIRMINGHAM – Shilpa Register is a native of Birmingham and literally grew up on UAB's campus with her first home being family/student housing at UAB. She is a three time alum of UAB. She enjoys being a Blazer Booster member and spending time with her family at the UAB athletics events. She is a loyal season ticket holder and resides in Hoover, Alabama.
What is your favorite memory of UAB Athletics?
My favorite memory has been being able to attend UAB football games with my husband, children, father, and father-in-law. UAB gamedays are now becoming a "Register" tradition which I love. I also love seeing old and new friends and colleagues at the games.
Why do you support UAB Athletics and its student-athletes?
I support UAB Athletics because it is an important part of the college experience. As an alum, it continues to keep me connected with UAB. I love the spirit at the football and basketball games from students, alumni and UAB fans alike. Our student-athletes need our support as they strive for academic and athletic goals at UAB. They are an inspiration to me.
What makes you the most proud of UAB Athletics?
I am most proud to see UAB Athletics being promoted and supported around town with Blazer license plates and UAB gear on cars and businesses around town. I love to see Birmingham and UAB working together in unison.
