Blazers Fall at Southern Miss in Conference Opener

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The UAB men's tennis team dropped its first Conference USA match of the year on Sunday afternoon at Southern Miss, falling to the Golden Eagles, 4-0.
Southern Miss claimed the doubles point on courts one and two before winning singles matches on courts three, five and six to clinch the match.
UAB (0-4, 0-1 C-USA) falls to 17-7 all-time against Southern Miss in its first loss against their conference foe since March 31, 2018.
The Green and Gold returns to the courts on Saturday and Sunday as it continues its road trip with matches at South Alabama and Troy, respectively.
