Blazers Set to Face South Alabama and Troy on the Road

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team hits the road this weekend for a pair of matches. The Blazers will play at South Alabama on Saturday at 10 a.m. before visiting Troy on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

UAB (0-4, 0-1 C-USA) is coming off a loss to Conference USA foe Southern Miss in its first league match of the season.

The Green and Gold is set to face the Jaguars for the 28th time in the program's history and holds a 7-20 record against South Alabama. UAB and Troy have played 16 times, with the Blazers holding a 12-4 series advantage.

The Jaguars come into the weekend with a 2-5 record before playing Xavier University of Louisiana on Friday afternoon, while the Trojans come in with a 3-3 mark, boasting wins over Auburn-Montgomery, Tennessee State and Alcorn State.

Following this weekend, UAB is back in action on Feb. 28 for a conference match at Middle Tennessee.
