Blazers Take on Southern Miss in First Conference Match of 2020

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team travels to Hattiesburg, Miss. on Sunday as it takes on Southern Miss at 11 a.m. in the first Conference USA matchup of the year.
The Blazers (0-3, 0-0 C-USA) won the doubles point at Alabama and against Chattanooga in the last two matches, but ultimately fell, 6-1, and 5-1, respectively.
Southern Miss (4-1, 0-0 C-USA) is coming off a 4-1 victory against Lamar and has also notched wins against Prairie View A&M, Alcorn State and Florida A&M. Their only loss came against West Alabama, 4-3 in Hattiesburg.
UAB holds the all-time series lead, 17-6, and won last season in Birmingham, 4-1.
Following Sunday's match, UAB will be back in action on Feb. 15 at South Alabama.
