Blazer Rifle Set to Compete in NCAA Qualifiers

BIRMINGHAM - The No. 20 UAB rifle team travels to Charleston, S.C. on Saturday to compete in NCAA Qualifiers, hosted by The Citadel.
"I am excited and confident in our team going into this weekend," head coach Lori Goodwin said. "We look forward to a good showing in Charleston."
UAB is set to compete against North Carolina State and The Citadel in the event after finishing a perfect 7-0 in conference matches.
The Blazers are paced by sophomore Sophia Flores, who averages 1140.111 in aggregate score and 567.444 in smallbore. Freshman Amy Kohan leads the squad in air rifle average at 575.444.
Following NCAA Qualifiers, the Green and Gold will look to defend its conference title at the SoCon Championships in Statesboro, Ga. March 7-8.
