Chen Notches Third Straight Top 20 Finish at Red Wolves Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. – Freshman Shelly Chen tied for 13th overall in leading the UAB women's golf team at the Lady Red Wolves Classic at Sage Meadow Golf Club in Jonesboro, Ark.
Chen (73-74-72) carded a +3 overall for the tournament to notch her third consecutive Top 20 finish of the season.
The Blazers fell two spots in the final round of the and placed 13th overall. Senior Tia Teiniketo was UAB's second finisher at +9 which tied her for 26th overall.
Freshman Emilia Smith (+19, T62), freshman Karlee Allen (+24, T77) and sophomore Lexie Dawson (+27, 83rd) rounded out UAB's lineup.
It is a quick turnaround for the Blazers as they head to the Callaway Gardens Invite next Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 19-21, hosted by South Alabama in Pine Mountain, Ga.
