Kohan and Lum Set Personal Bests at Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. - The defending Southern Conference champion UAB rifle team wrapped up shooting at Murray State on Friday afternoon.
"I am so proud of the way our team performed today," head coach Lori Goodwin said. "We started the spring part of our season off on a really good note and I'm looking forward to that carrying on the rest of the year."
The match was UAB's conference match against North Georgia, a victory as UNG finished with an aggregate score of 4557. UAB moves to 6-0 in league play and sits alone atop the conference standings.
Freshman Amy Kohan set a new personal best in smallbore and aggregate, shooting 579 while notching 577 in air rifle for an aggregate score of 1156, a team best for the match.
Zoe Lum performed at a high level as well, as she set a personal best in both smallbore and aggregate. The New Mexico native finished with an aggregate score of 1155 by way of shooting 575 and 580 in smallbore and air rifle, respectively. Sophia Flores shot 574 in smallbore and 575 in air for an aggregate total of 1149.
Lilly Vonderau shot a team-high 583 in air, while her sister, Maggie Vonderau, totaled an aggregate score of 1135, with a 562 in smallbore and a 573 in air rifle. Jordan Blankenship wrapped up the participating Blazers with a 562 smallbore score and a 571 air rifle total, finishing with a 1133 aggregate score.
The Green and Gold hits the range again tomorrow in Martin, Tenn. as it takes on the Skyhawks of UT-Martin.
