Men’s Tennis Heads to Tuscaloosa for Date with Alabama

Match Notes

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Saturday to take on (RV) Alabama at 1 p.m. at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

UAB (0-1, 0-0 C-USA) looks to bounce back from a season-opening defeat at the hands of No. 21 Mississippi State last Sunday as it plays at a top-tier SEC opponent for the second straight match.

The Green and Gold looks for its fifth all-time win against Alabama on Saturday in the first match of the season for the Crimson Tide.

Michal Lusovsky paced the Blazers against the nationally-ranked Bulldogs, winning the first set of his match with Florian Broska in the No. 2 position before falling, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6).

Following Saturday's match against the Crimson Tide, UAB gets back to the courts on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. to host Chattanooga at the UAB Campus Courts.
