Beach Volleyball Resumes Action at Georgia State Friday and Saturday

BIRMINGHAM - After a weekend off from competition, the UAB beach volleyball jumps back into action this weekend, March 29-30, at the Diggin' Duals hosted by Georgia State in Atlanta. The Blazers will play two matches both on Friday and Saturday.
UAB (9-7) is receiving votes in the national poll for the fifth time this season and is coming off the program's second-ever victory over a nationally-ranked opponent with a 3-2 triumph against No. 18 Georgia State two weeks ago.
Three of UAB's four opponents this weekend are also receiving votes in College of Charleston, University of Tampa and Arizona State. The Blazers will play UNC Wilmington as well, as they and CofC present CCSA conference matches.
The Blazers have altered their lineup of late as Jaelyn Keene and Tressa Buckland have recently paired together on court one. The duo is 3-2 together and 2-2 on court one. Both Keene and Buckland share a team-best overall record of 9-7 along with six other players: Kenley Adams, Emma Andraka, Jayme Bratsberg, Jenna Gathright, SalliAnne Napolitano and Annie Pringle.
The weekend schedule pairs UAB and College of Charleston together on Friday morning at 8 a.m. EST/7 a.m. CST, followed by Tampa that afternoon at 4 p.m. EST/3 p.m. CST.
Saturday's slate features UAB against UNCW at 10 a.m. EST/9 a.m. CST and concludes with Arizona State at 2 p.m. EST/1 p.m. CST.
