UAB Takes on South Alabama at Samford

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team returns to the courts to take on South Alabama at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Samford University.
The Blazers (4-3, 1-0 C-USA) are coming off an impressive 4-1 home win against Southern Miss to gain their first conference victory of the season.
Freshmen Daniel Janko and Michal Lusovsky lead UAB in singles wins with three each. Janko has claimed victories in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 positions, while all of Lusovsky's wins have come in the No. 4 slot.
Lusovsky also makes up one-half of UAB's No. 1 doubles pairing, which boasts a 2-0 season record, along with Roman Postolka.
The Green and Gold is 2-1 in neutral site matchups this season and hopes to see the same success against the Jaguars (2-2, 0-0 Sun Belt). South Alabama touts wins against Cal Poly and Xavier (La.) and features the No. 11 doubles pairing in the nation in Loec Cloes and Clement Marzol.
