Blazers Move Into Third at Loyola Intercollegiate on Day Two in Arizona

Round 2 Results

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Entering the second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate tied for fifth, the UAB men's golf team moved up two places and enters the final round of the tournament tied for third place overall.

Behind a three-under 69 from William Walker III, the Blazers now have three players in the top 10 entering Monday's final round. Walker III entered round-two tied for 28th, but shot up the leaderboard and now sits tied for fourth at -2 entering the final round.

Murray Naysmith is one shot behind Walker III at -1 overall after shooting a 1-under 71, and is tied for sixth overall. Nick Robillard is also -1 entering Monday's final round.

The Blazers shot a collective 283 and sit at -1 as a team, four shots behind Elon who continues to lead the field at -5 overall. Loyola-Maryland is second at -4, followed by UAB (-1) and Missouri State (-1).
