UAB Men’s Golf in Fifth After 18 Holes at Loyola Intercollegiate

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Led by sophomore Nick Robillard, the UAB men's golf team is tied for 5th after the first 18 holes of the Loyola Intercollegiate at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
Robillard shot a three under 69 as his round included five birdies and two bogeys. He is currently in a three-way tie for second place and will try to catch Evan Brown of Loyola Maryland who leads at -5.
Following Robillard, junior Murray Naysmith shot even par and is tied for 18th, while junior William Walker III is one shot behind Naysmith at +1 and tied for 28th.
Rounding out the UAB efforts was John Snoddy (+6) and John Hayden (+8). Playing as individuals, John Raccatti shot -1 and is tied for 10th, while Sam Goldasich shot a +6. Raccatti's and Goldasich's scores will not count towards the team score this week.
The Blazers are tied with UConn at +4 overall, and will look to move up the leaderboard that currently has Elon leading at -6, followed by Missouri State (-2), Loyola (-1) and Xavier (+3).
