UAB (20-5, 8-4 C-USA) is coming off a 77-59 victory over Marshall on Thursday night. Angela Vendrell recorded her first career double double in the victory, tallying 13 rebounds and 11 assists, both career highs. The Alicante, Spain native is tied for second in C-USA in blocks per game (1.0).
Deanna Kuzmanic led UAB with 20 points on a season-high three 3-pointers against Marshall. The senior ranks 14th in C-USA in points per game (12.4) and 3-pointers per game (1.4), while Thursday was the 15th 20+ scoring performance of her career.

The victory over Marshall lifted UAB to the 20 win threshold for the 10th time in program history as it accomplished the task in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 1999-00, 2000-01 seasons.
WKU (14-12, 8-4 C-USA) comes to Birmingham in the midst of a three game losing skid, dropping consecutive games to Rice, North Texas and Middle Tennessee. The Lady Toppers lead the league in points per game (74.7), but are allowing the 13th most per game (73.0).
Dee Givens leads the Lady Toppers' offense, ranking third in the league in points per game (17.8). The redshirt junior has found the double digit scoring column in all but one game this season, including a 31-point performance against FIU.
UAB and WKU are meeting for the 24th time in program history with the Lady Toppers leading the series 18-5. UAB is just 3-9 all time against WKU at Bartow Arena, while head coach Randy Norton is 1-6.
Saturday is UAB's annual Pink Game, recognizing the fight against cancer. Pink infinity scarfs will be available at the entrance to Bartow Arena along with a photo booth on the concourse. Cancer survivors will have the opportunity to be recognized in a special ceremony at half time.
