Blazer Baseball Postpones Scrimmage Against North Alabama

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB baseball team has postponed its fall scrimmage against North Alabama to Sunday at 1 p.m. at J.D. Young Memorial Field. The matchup was originally scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m., but has been moved due to inclement weather. Should any further changes be made, updates will be provided on the UAB baseball Twitter page.
Sunday's game will be UAB's last scrimmage against a visiting opponent this fall as the Blazers previously hosted Mississippi State last weekend and the Ontario Blue Jays on Oct. 4. Following the action on Sunday, UAB will wrap up its live fall action with three more intersquad games. The first will be held on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m., followed by the second and third on Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. and Nov. 2 at noon. The final intersquad game will also be recognized as UAB's Family Day.
The Blazers are preparing for the 2020 season after finishing 27-29 last season. UAB concluded the year 18-13 at home and ended the season on a hot streak, winning nine of its last 13 games including wins over Auburn and Southern Miss.
Baseball season tickets are on sale by purchasing the 2019-20 Gold Card for $65. The Gold Card is an exclusive offer that grants you admission into all UAB volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball and softball events for the upcoming academic year.
