No. 25 Men’s Golf to Participate in Quail Valley Intercollegiate

BIRMINGHAM– The No. 25 UAB men's golf team is set to participate in the Quail Valley Intercollegiate hosted by No. 7 Notre Dame in Vero Beach, Fla., this Sunday and Monday, Oct. 20-21.
The Blazers are 35-7-0 overall and appeared in the initial golfstat.com national rankings which were released last Tuesday.
Along with the Blazers and the Fighting Irish, the field consists of North Florida, South Florida, Michigan State, Memphis, Rutgers, UMKC, Miami (OH), Lipscomb, Maryland and Jacksonville.
The tournament at Quail Valley Country Club will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Monday. The course is a par 72, 7,288 yards.
UAB will field a team of seniors William Walker III and Murray Naysmith, junior Ben Reichert, sophomore John Snoddy and freshman Khavish Varadan. Walker III and Naysmith are both ranked top 100 with Walker III checking in at No. 55 and Naysmith at No. 97.
