Cross Country Opens Season at Memphis Twilight

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Looking to defend its 2017 Memphis Twilight title, the UAB cross country team returns to the event Saturday night to opens its 2018 season. The race is set to begin at 9:20 p.m. at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex on the campus of the University of Memphis.
The Blazers placed five in the top-20 at the event last year to lift UAB to a victory in the 19-team field.
The Blazers are coming off of a fourth place finish at the Conference USA Championship during the 2017 season, their best finish since 2010, before finishing 15 at the NCAA South Regional, the team's best finish since 2012. UAB returns four runners from a season ago, while ushering in five newcomers.
