Sophomore Kamilah Mustafa and senior Caroline Kehrer led the Blazers (0-2-0) with two shots apiece, while sophomores Sarah Buse and Regan Kommor added a shot of their own in the loss.
Between the pipes, Kelsey Daugherty recorded a season-high seven saves after facing 23 shots from the Tigers, 13 of which were on frame.
Auburn (3-0-0) wasted no time getting on the board, scoring 90 seconds into the match when Bri Folds played a ball back across the 18-yard box to an open Treva Aycock, who slotted the ball past Daugherty to put the Tigers up 1-0.
Thirteen minutes later, the Tigers scored a pair goals in the span of a minute courtesy of Jaelyn Gadson and Angeline Daly to take a 3-0 lead a quarter of an hour into the match.
The Tigers' Rocio Sanders (48'), Silvana Poulter (68') and Cami Rogers (83') added to Auburn's advantage in the second half to seal the 6-0 victory.
UAB returns to the friendly confines of BBVA Compass Field on Sunday when it hosts cross-town rival Samford at 6 p.m. Tickets for Sunday's contest are $5 for adults and $3 for youth and can be purchased at the gate, online at uabsports.com, or by calling the UAB Ticket Office at (205) 975-UAB1.
