UAB Travels To North Texas For Final Conference Showdown

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB softball team heads out on the road in the final weekend of conference play for a showdown with North Texas.
The Blazers and Mean Green will play a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. CT before wrapping up the series on Sunday, with first pitch coming at noon.
UAB (23-29-1, 13-7-1 C-USA) is coming off its sixth C-USA series win this year, having defeated UTSA, 2-1, in Birmingham. The Green and Gold are a half game out of second place and are playing for seeding as they have already secured their spot in the conference tournament.
North Texas (24-24, 10-10) has gone 3-7 over the last 10 games, but won its last conference series against Southern Miss, 2-1. The Mean Green have yet to clinch a spot in the C-USA Tournament and are currently seventh in the standings.
Only the top-8 seeds advance into the conference tournament.
