UAB Welcomes Alabama A&M

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB baseball team is set to play its seventh home game against an in-state foe on Wednesday night when it welcomes Alabama A&M to Young Memorial Field at 6:30 p.m.
Quick Hitters
- UAB (12-14, 5-4) is coming off its third Conference USA series at Charlotte. After dropping game one, 7-1, the Blazers picked up wins in games two and three, winning 18-10 and 4-3, respectively.
- Colton Schultz enters Wednesday night's game in the midst of a team-best eight-game hit streak. The sophomore is hitting .469 with 15 hits, nine runs, two doubles, three RBI and a home run during the streak.
- Entering the weekend at Charlotte, the Blazers had hit a combined three home runs. While at Charlotte, UAB hit three in the series with a Stephen Dobbs grand slam and a go-ahead three run home run by Brett Blackwood in the series finale.
- Tyler Tolbert has been a force on the base path for UAB this season as he ranks 10th in the nation in stolen bases with 16 and 17th in stolen bases per game, averaging 0.6 per contest.
- The UAB defense ranks 13th nationally in double plays (28) and double plays per game (1.1).

- Dalton Mitchell leads the offense, hitting .375 with six doubles, a triple and 41 total bases. Carson McGregory ranks second on the team, hitting .329 while leading the team in RBI (13) and home runs (3).
- On the mound, Jaret Britt has carried the Bulldogs staff with a 4.17 ERA over 45.1 innings of work.
