UAB Set to Host Middle Tennessee on Easter Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Blazers continue their five-game homestand at Mary Bowers Field this weekend as Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee comes to town for a three-game series March 30-31.
The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, March 30 beginning at 3 p.m. game two scheduled for approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The Blazers and Blue Raiders will wrap up the series with one game on Saturday, March 31 with first pitch slated for 1 p.m.
UAB is 1-1 so far through the first two games of the homestand and is looking for its second-straight conference series win.

- UAB is in fourth place overall in Conference USA heading into this weekend with a 3-2-1 record, while Middle Tennessee is 5-4. The Blazers have played one less conference series than the rest of the league.
- Emily Kachel and Claire Blount both rank in the top 10 in strikeouts in the conference with 70 and 63 strikeouts respectively.
