UAB Starts Busy Week with Alabama A&M

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB softball team kicks off a busy week with visits from in-state rivals Alabama A&M and Jacksonville State on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 27 and 28. The Blazers battle the Bulldogs on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m., while the matchup with the Gamecocks on Wednesday is slated for 5 p.m. at Mary Bowers Field.
UAB had a rare weekend off and gears up for five home games this week beginning with Alabama A&M and Jacksonville State before wrapping up the week with a three game series against Middle Tennessee.
UAB is asking for Blazer fans to bring nonperishable food items or bottled water to the contest to be donated to the Jacksonville, Ala. community. A table will be set up inside the stadium and a member of the UAB softball staff will receive the donations.
