UAB Closes Regular Season at John Kirk Panther Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team closes its regular season this week at the John Kirk Panther Invitational in Stockbridge, Ga.
The 25th Annual Invitational will be held March 25-27 at Eagle's Landing Country Club. The Blazers look to improve upon their 11th place finish in last year's event.
UAB is coming off of a sixth place finish at the Bama Beach Bash March 16-18 where Maria Donado paced the Blazers with a 14th place finish.
Donado, the reigning Conference USA Golfer of the Week, leads the Blazers this season with a 75.3 stroke average, five top-20 finishes and three rounds at or under par.
Joining UAB in the Panther Invitational field is Georgia State, Appalachian State, Central Michigan, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, James Madison, Morehead State, Samford, South Alabama, Tulsa, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan, Winthrop, and defending champions, Murray State.
2017's individual champion Elsa Moberly also returns for the 2018 event with her Eastern Kentucky team who finished second last year.
