BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Fresh of its first weekend of Conference USA play, the UAB baseball team returns to the diamond on Tuesday when it welcomes Alabama to Regions Field at 6:30 p.m.

- Alabama (16-5, 1-2 SEC) comes to Birmingham on a two-game losing skid after dropping the last two games of a three-game series against Georgia. The Crimson Tide offense has been dominant this season as they rank ninth nationally in on-base percentage (.424), 11th in runs (169) and 12th in hits (226)
- Chandler Taylor has been the catalyst offensively for the Tide. The junior ranks fifth in the county in home runs per game (0.44) and sixth in home runs (8)
- Junior right handed pitcher Sam Gardner is projected to take the mound for Alabama. He holds a 1-0 record in five appearances this season and has allowed nine runs, all of them earned, and 13 strikeouts over 17.2 innings of work
