Track Side with Head Coach Kurt Thomas
"Team wise, it's not the placing we wanted," Thomas said. "We competed at about the rankings we were at coming in. We had some very good performances from Ali Meister in her last indoor conference meet in the long jump and hurdles, Sarah Livett in the 5k and Marielle Lewis in the 800m. The distance medley relay and 4x4 ran very good and scored some important team points. Our conference is one of the toughest in the country and our team got a taste of what it takes to be good. We are young and learning, but I'm proud of how hard we competed. Once we're healthy and full strength, we will be a good team."
