BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team continues its 2017-18 season on Monday and Tuesday with a trip to Amelia Island, Fla., to compete in the Amelia Island Collegiate.
After five fall tournaments, Maria Donado leads UAB with a 74.2 stroke average. The Columbia native posted two rounds of 69 (-3) and 70 (-2) to finish tied for third at the USA Intercollegiate held last September.
The Amelia Island Collegiate begins on Monday at 8 a.m. with teams playing 36 holes, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. The tournament takes place at the Amelia National Golf Club and will play 6,029 yards for this event.
Joining the Blazers on Amelia Island is Bradley, Campbell, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, North Florida, UNC-Asheville, USC-Upstate and Winthrop.
