BIRMINGHAM – Coming off a gritty victory over Canisius in its AdvoCare Invitational finale, the UAB men's basketball team will play its fourth-straight neutral site game on Thursday at 7 p.m. when it makes the short drive up I-65 to meet up with Alabama A&M at the Von Braun Civic Center.
The teams will meet on a neutral floor for the second consecutive season after playing last year's matchup at Legacy Arena and will meet for the first time ever in Huntsville.
UAB (4-2) will be carrying some momentum into the Rocket City after defeating Canisius, 68-58, to close out the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando. Sophomore Zack Bryant led the way for the Blazers with a career-high 26 points and seven steals. Jeremiah Bell added a career-best 15 points in that victory to compliment a 11-point effort by Jalen Perry.

Rebounding has been another key component of the team's game, out-rebounding its opponents by a margin of 6.5, good for 61st in the NCAA. The Blazers have also been good on the offensive glass with 15.0 boards per contest, ranked 31st nationally.
Alabama A&M (0-6) is seeking its first win of the season and is coming off a 77-46 loss to Fordham on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs are led by Jalen Reeder and Andre Kennedy, who are averaging 12.5 and 11.2 points per game, respectively.
