Blazers Set to Face Gamecocks in Sunday Matinee

BIRMINGHAM – The No. 18 UAB rifle makes the quick trip east on I-20 when it travels to face Jacksonville State in a Sunday matinee.
"I am very excited for this week," head coach Lori Goodwin said. "Our kids have momentum after last weekend and I am anxious to see them compete at Jacksonville State."
UAB is coming off a 4,551 – 4,491 win at VMI last weekend. Michael Dietz took home individual honors as he fired a 571 in Smallbore and a 578 in Air Rifle for a 1,149 aggregate total.
Dietz, the reigning SoCon Smallbore shooter of the month, has led the Blazers in every match this season.
