UAB Fires Season High at Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The No. 18 UAB rifle team fired a season high 4,597 on Sunday afternoon in its match at Jacksonville State. The Blazers finished fifth overall in the six team field.
Michael Dietz led the team with a 17th place in Smallbore with a 575 score and a 24th place finish in Air Rifle with a 580 score for a 1,155 aggregate total. Dietz has led the team in every match this season.
"I am very proud of this team," head coach Lori Goodwin. "Michael performed well again as he has done all this season. I am excited about the momentum we have carrying us into the break."
Zoe Lum fired a 573 in Smallbore and a 572 in Air Rifle for a 1,145 aggregate total to finish second on the team behind Dietz.
UAB takes over a month off before returning to the range against North Georgia on Jan 25.
