UAB Heads into Final Round of Hawaii Invitational in Fourth Place

PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – The UAB men's golf team shot even par on the second day of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii and enters Tuesday's final round in fourth place.
In a field of 20 teams and 112 golfers, UAB's top three players find themselves in the top 20 entering the final 18 holes. Redshirt freshman John Snoddy was three-under in the second round and is tied for eighth place overall at -5. He is followed by John Hayden (-4) who's tied for 14th and William Walker III (-3) who's tied for 20th.
Snoddy carded five birdies in his round on Monday, which included four on the front nine.
Nick Robillard and Sam Goldasich each shot +2 in the second round and enter the final 18 holes in a tie for 61st and 97th place, respectively.
The field will be looking to catch No. 11 Pepperdine who was -4 on the day and is -19 overall for the tournament. They have a four-stroke lead on Missouri who shot up the leaderboard on Monday by firing a 13-under, while Sam Houston State is in third (-12), followed by UAB (-10) and two teams tied at -9.
Blake Elliott of McNeese State is the individual leader in the clubhouse at -13 and had the low round of the day at nine under par (63). He has a two-stroke lead on Joshua McCarthy of Pepperdine.
