Blazers Continue Season in Dahlonega

BIRMINGHAM – After a week off, the No. 19 UAB rifle team returns to competition with a trip to Dahlonega, Ga., to compete against North Georgia. The match between the Blazers and Nighthawks is slated to begin at 7:45 a.m. EST.

UAB is coming off a first-place finish in Spartanburg, S.C., on Oct. 13. The Blazers took home team honors after wins over The Citadel and Wofford in the dual match.

Michael Dietz has been the Blazers' top shooter this season as the freshman has paced the Blazers in all four matches this year. He carries a 1,159.0 aggregate average, including a 573.3 average in small bore, and shot a school-record 583 total earlier in the season.

Sophia Flores is right behind Dietz with a 1,142.0 aggregate average. The freshman led UAB in small bore at Wofford, while carrying a 575.0 air rifle average.

North Georgia is coming off a first-place finish at VMI last weekend. Tobin Sanctuary leads the team with a 1,147.75 aggregate average through four matches this season.
