Women’s Golf in Eighth After 18 Holes at Maryb S. Kauth Invitational

SAN ANTONIO - The UAB women's golf team will enter the second round of the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in eighth place on Monday morning at TPC San Antonio - AT&T Canyon Course.
The Blazers shot a 310 (+22) in the opening round of the tournament which features four teams from Conference USA in the field.
Junior Tia Teiniketo led the way for the Green and Gold with a three-over 75 and is tied for 28th place heading into the second round.
Fellow junior Kendall Johnson was one shot behind Teiniketo at +4 and is currently tied for 33rd overall. Maria Donado (+7), Stephenie Fowler (+8) and Kenna Hughes (+18) rounded out the UAB efforts, while freshman Lexie Dawson (+7) played as an individual.
TCU (-9) is leading the field, followed by Houston (-3), Marshall (-3) Tennessee (E) and UTSA (+3) rounding out the top five. Individually, Kerri Parks of Marshall is leading the field at -5.
