UAB Makes Return Trip to South Carolina to Face The Citadel and Wofford

BIRMINGHAM – The No. 19 UAB rifle team makes its second trip to South Carolina in the last three weeks when it travels to Charleston to face The Citadel and Wofford on Saturday.
UAB is coming off a 1-1 week in Oxford, Miss., last Friday when the Blazers defeated Georgia State and fell to Murray State.
Michael Dietz leads the team and the Southern Conference with a 1,163.0 aggregate score through three matches this season. Dietz set program records in Oxford with a 583 Small Bore score and a 592 in Air. His Small Bore score is currently the best in the SoCon, while his Air Rifle is tied for second.
The Small Bore score leads the SoCon for highest this season, while the Air Rifle score is tied for second.
The Citadel is 1-2 on the season after opening the season with a win over No. 25 WMI, before going 0-2 last weekend against No. 9 NC State and No. 19 North Georgia.
Wofford is 0-1 on the season, with its only match being a 4,552-4,379 loss to UAB on Sept. 29.
