UAB Athletics Introduces Ever Loyal Society

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's Department of Athletics has launched a new major giving society, the UAB Athletics Ever Loyal Society. Established in 2017, the Ever Loyal Society will recognize those that make commitments of $25,000 and above to the UAB Athletics Campaign. The Ever Loyal Society will be one of the cornerstones for UAB Athletics' growth in fundraising to help position UAB to compete at the highest level nationally.
"We wanted to design and incorporate a loyalty program here at UAB that allows more people to get involved philanthropically," said Mark Ingram, Director of Athletics. "The Birmingham community has supported Blazer Athletics at unprecedented levels, and we want to continue our important work together with our supporters to make a difference in the lives of Blazer student-athletes."
What is the Ever Loyal Society and how can Blazer Nation join?
Membership to the UAB Athletics Ever Loyal Society starts at a $25,000 and above pledged commitment. Recognition and stewardship within each level is available through the donation of outright gifts, excluding annual donations necessary to maintain priority seating and parking. Contributions pledged to the donor's sport or project of choice during the life of the UAB Athletics Campaign are eligible for membership.
In recognition of their generosity, Ever Loyal Society members gain access to exclusive stewardship opportunities. The Ever Loyal Society allows Blazer fans the opportunity to have a larger impact while becoming more engaged with UAB athletic programs. The major giving society was constructed with industry best practices in mind and is similar to other top philanthropic programs at other collegiate institutions.
"What is good for UAB is good for Birmingham, and success in athletics will continue to enhance the pride and visibility to UAB and downtown Birmingham's vibrant growth," said Chair of the UAB Athletics Campaign Committee Hatton Smith. "Together, we must continue to capitalize on this opportunity within our community and put Blazer Athletics in the best possible position to compete for championships."
As the UAB Athletics Campaign advances, Blazer fans are asked to consider raising their level of commitment to become members of the Ever Loyal Society. The UAB Athletics Campaign has generated more than $40 million pledged in additional resources to support Blazer Athletics since the start of the 2015 giving year.
