UAB Set for Double Duty Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women’s track and field team will be competing in two invitational this weekend. The Blazers will send a group of athletes to the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Friday and Saturday, and the Blazers will also compete in the South Alabama Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Sunday.
“We’re kind of use to this situation,” said head coach Kurt Thomas. “The idea is to go, wherever we are, is to just compete hard and hit some marks.”

South Alabama Invitational – Schedule/Meet Information
UAB was off last weekend after competing in the Vanderbilt Invitational the week before. The Blazers saw Hannah Coffin, Emily Drouin, Jenna Hinds, and Serena Martinez all post personal-bests in the One Mile Run at Vandy. Coffin, Drouin, and Hinds will each be competing at Notre dame in the 3,000 Meter Run.
Events begin on Friday at 3:00 p.m. for the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational and pick back up at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. The South Alabama Invitational starts at noon on Sunday.
