Trey Frazier Named Associate Athletics Director for Development

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram has announced the hiring of Trey Frazier as the Associate Athletics Director for Development. Frazier will oversee the comprehensive fundraising efforts for Blazer Boosters.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Trey to the Blazer family," said UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. "Trey has extensive experience with fundraising and has made an incredible impact at every institution he's been at. He is a rising star in this profession."
Frazier joins the Blazers after three years working in the Hokie Club at Virginia Tech. While in Blacksburg, Frazier played a pivotal role in increasing Virginia Tech's annual giving by 57 percent from $9.8 to $17 million during the 2016-17 year and was a part of the largest fundraising year in the history of the Hokie Club, raising over $33 million.
He also served in a leadership role in launching the Drive for 25 which gained over 3,000 new donors in its first year. Frazier oversaw annual solicitation efforts, the recent graduate program and managed all areas of gift accounting for the Hokies.
Before Virginia Tech, Frazier also spent time at the University of Wisconsin, Ohio University and the University of Florida.
A native of Dallas, Frazier earned his undergraduate degree in finance at Dallas Baptist University and was a member of the baseball team. He went on to earn his master's in business administration and sports administration at Ohio University. He served as class president and was a graduate assistant in the Ohio Bobcat Club during his time in Athens.
Frazier fills the position of Brad Hardekopf who transitioned to Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs at UAB.
Trey and his fiancé Jenna reside in Homewood.
