Blazers Wrap Up Fall with 10th Place Finish

TAMPA, Fla. – The UAB women's golf team closed its 2017 fall slate with a 10th place finish at the USF Intercollegiate held Monday and Tuesday at the TPC Tampa Bay.
"It wasn't the end of the season that we wanted," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "The course was very challenging but we will learn from this."
Maria Donado continued a strong first day with a closing round of 75 to finish tied for fourth overall for her second top-five finish this fall.
Kenna Hughes continued to improve each round with a final day 78 to finish tied for 32nd overall.
Sydney Snodgrass closed the fall with an 82 and a tied for 40th place, while Kayla Wilbourn repeated her first round score of 83 to finish 52nd while Juliana Sebastian finished tied for 67th.
Georgetown jumped both Barry and Lynn to take home team honors with a closing round of 299. Tilda Larsson carded a closing round 74 to take home the individual crown.
UAB returns to the course on Feb. 19 with a trip to Amelia Island, Fla., to compete in the Amelia Island Intercollegiate.
