Women's Golf Sits in Second After Day One

Round One Results - Round Two Pairings
Gadsden, Ala., - The UAB women's golf team sits in second place after the first round of the Chris Banister Golf Classic.
The Blazers shot a 302 (+14) in the first round to sit in second place behind Murray State who is at six-over, 294.
"I am pleased with the day, but the girls felt like they didn't putt well," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "We practiced putting after the round and we're looking forward to the next two days. Rebecca (Chandler) and Sydney (Snodgrass) were solid today but neither one was satisfied with how the putted."
Rebecca Chandler led the UAB efforts on Sunday when she shot a one-over, 73, to be in a two-way tie for third place.
Sydney Snodgrass built off of her momentum from this tournament last season and shot a 74 (+2). She is in a three-way tie for fifth place.
Kayla Wilbourn carded a 77 (+5) to be tied for fifteenth. Juliana Sebastian is just one stroke behind Wilbourn after she shot a 78 (+6).
Kenna Hughes rounded the out the Blazer lineup with an eight over, 80. She is tied for thirtieth.
UAB tees off round two tomorrow beginning at 7:30 a.m. They are paired with Murray State and Samford.

T15 - Kayla Wilbourn 77 (+5)
