BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB indoor track and field team puts the finishing touches on the regular season this weekend when the Blazers take part in a pair of meets hosted by Samford from the Birmingham CrossPlex.

The Samford Open begins Friday at 8 p.m. with the men’s high jump and includes 41 women’s teams from all over the southeast.
Running events kick off day two on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the men’s 60 meter hurdles.
“We have seen some great performances from many of our girls over the past few weeks, but we still need to improve in some other areas before Conference USA Championships,” UAB head coach Kurt Thomas said. “This will be our last chance to compete on our home track before conference, so it’s very important to take advantage of these last competitive opportunities."
