Sisirak opened the tournament with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Elsa Pool of Samford on Friday before downing Annika Hepp of Samford 6-4, 6-3 Saturday on day two.
“We had a solid showing this weekend against great competition and teams we will face in the spring,” UAB head coach Mark Tjia said. “Pardis had a great weekend and Hana outclassed her flight by winning in straight sets. Overall, we had solid performances for everyone, but we definitely have material to work on in the coming weeks.”
UAB returns to the court Friday, Oct. 14 when the Blazers travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take part in the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships from the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
