Women's Golf Improves to Fifth at Chris Banister Classic

GLENCOE, Ala. - UAB's women's golf team improved three spots to a tie for fifth in the second round of the Chris Banister Golf Classic Monday at the Silver Lakes Golf Club.
The Blazers fired a team score 309, improving from Sunday's 317, to sit at 50-over, 626 tied with Southern Miss heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Rebecca Chandler turned in UAB's top score of the day at 4-over, 76, to jump to a tie for 28th at 14-over, 158 overall.
Juliana Sebastian and Imy Huxley remain as UAB's top performers for the tournament, both tied for 20th at 12-over, 156. Sebastian repeated her Sunday score with a 78, while Huxley carded a 79.
Sydney Snodgrass sits in a tie for 25th after 36 holes at 13-over, 157. Kayla Wilbourn improved from her first round to shoot a 78 and sits tied for 38th at 18-over, 162. Jessica Rouillard has a 36-hole total 19-over, 163 and sits in a tie for 43rd in individual play.
Troy leads field of 12 with a 36-hole total of 614, five strokes ahead of second-place Morehead State. Murray State's Moa Folke leads the way entering Tuesday's round by two strokes at 1-over, 145 overall.
Tuesday's final round will begin with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.
