Blazer Boosters Seeking Blazer Reps

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Blazer Boosters and UAB Athletics are inviting all Blazer fans to participate in the 2015-16 Blazer Rep Program and be a part of the greatest fundraising effort in UAB Athletics history! The Blazer Boosters office is seeking passionate fans to serve as Blazer Reps in order to help generate financial commitments through their own referrals during the UAB Athletics Campaign.
Much like student-athletes sign a letter of intent to play collegiate athletics, Blazer fans will be empowered to recruit members from their personal network to financially support UAB Athletics.
A summary of recruiting totals will be updated weekly on blazerboosters.com beginning August 1, 2015. Pledge submission must be completed by National Signing Day on February 3, 2016 to count towards the Blazer Rep Program. The top recruiting efforts will be recognized and awarded during a 2016 UAB Athletics signing day event. In addition to benchmark rewards as incentives, a priority point bonus will be awarded to each 2015-16 Blazer Rep for three new pledges and/or $500 in new revenue generated during each giving year.

By investing in UAB student-athletes through Blazer Boosters, individuals and corporations will make a direct impact in the continued growth of UAB Athletics. Blazer Boosters members help talented UAB student-athletes receive a quality education while fostering the growth of the UAB Athletic Department. The time is now for the Blazer nation to rally together and recruit the greatest fundraising class in UAB Athletics giving history! In addition, Blazer Boosters has partnered with Hatton Smith, Emeritus CEO of Royal Cup Coffee and Tea, to assemble a UAB Athletics Campaign Committee comprised of community leaders. Smith will serve as the committee chair with a goal to raise additional funds, particularly to support UAB Athletic facilities. The goal is to publicly announce the UAB Athletics Campaign Committee by Aug. 1, 2015, and to begin the public phase of the UAB Athletics Campaign shortly thereafter.
