Blazers Improve, Finish 10th At Bearcat Classic

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The UAB women's golf team improved three spots, shooting a 304 on Sunday, to finish 10th at the Bearcat Spring Classic at the Mission Inn Resort Los Colinas.
Rebecca Chandler paced the way again for the Blazers on Sunday, turning in a 3-over, 75, to finish 25th with a three-round score 233 (+17).
Holly Robinson carded UAB's lowest score of the day in the final round, shooting a 1-over, 73, to finish 31st at 237 (+21) overall.
Juliana Sebastian also improved for her best score of the tournament after shooting a 4-over, 76, to tally a 23-over, 239 and place 48th.
Margaret Yeh fired an 80 to finish 57th at 26-over, 242, while Kayla Wilbourn rounded out UAB's team of five at 29-over, 245.
Memphis claimed the team title after turning in a team score 290 on Sunday, to win the event with a 28-over, 892 over the field of 17 teams. Bradley's Danielle Lemek won the individual title with a 3-over, 219.
The Blazers return to the course March 30-31 at the UALR Women's Golf Classic in Little Rock, Ark.
