Chandler Paces UAB Women's Golf in Florida

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Rebecca Chandler fired a 5-over 77 to place in the top-10 after round one of the Bearcat Spring Classic Friday at the Los Colinas Golf Course.
Chandler is among a plethora of golfers who shot a 77, and is just seven strokes off the lead and five off second place entering Saturday's round two.
As a team the Blazers shot a 34-over, 322, to sit 14th after one round of play. Holly Robinson was UAB's second-lowest scorer with an 8-over, 80, while Juliana Sebastian fired a 10-over, 82.
Kayla Wilbourn posted an 83 in her opening round and Margaret Yeh rounded out UAB's team of five with a 12-over, 84.
Memphis paced the field of 17 teams with a 10-over, 298. The Blazers enter Saturday within 10 strokes of third and just four strokes off the top-10.
