BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host its annual Strike Out Cancer event on March 31 at Regions Field, when it hosts Alabama at 6:30 p.m.
UAB has joined the fight against childhood cancer with the Vs. Cancer Foundation. Donations from the evening on March 31 will benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts.
Proceeds will go directly to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center's pediatric division and national childhood cancer research. The Blazers raised more than $4,500 last year and hope to surpass that amount this season.
Tickets for the game vs. the Crimson Tide will be $10 for adults and $6 for youth. To support by making a donation, visit UAB's Strike Out cancer page at team.vs-cancer.org/uab.
