Baseball To Play Doubleheader Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Due to poor field conditions and predicted low wind chill values, UAB baseball's series opener vs. Ohio State has been moved to Saturday, forcing a doubleheader at Regions Field.
The two teams were originally set to meet a 4 p.m. on Friday, but will now begin a doubleheader at noon Saturday at Regions. Sunday's game three is still set for a 12:30 p.m. start time.
The doubleheader will mark the second UAB has played this season, after the Blazers faced Western Michigan in a doubleheader on Saturday of opening weekend. UAB made schedule changes vs. Savannah State last weekend to setup a doubleheader, but eventually changed back to the original weekend plans with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
